In some cases, the solution may be technical in nature, but other factors are often the root cause of a problem. It may be the organizational structure, contractual conditions, personal relationships or calculations and budgets.
You can’t be number one by doing the same as everybody else. Complex businesses require unique and tailored solutions to constantly improve. And this requires an ability to manage creativity, innovation and the unexpected – rather than textbook solutions and static processes.
It is not your daily performance that is the most important success factor, it’s your rate of improvement that makes a difference in the long term. A product, working method or organization is seldom so bad that it needs to be completely replaced. Continuous improvement is what brings about robust progress. Constant movement forward increases your capacity to deal with the unexpected.

It is important for us that our customers can make the results (of our work) their own. This applies equally to employee achievements, implementation of an investment project, or the improvement of a production system’s performance and utilization rate.
